The Hope Center provides hope and help for women facing an unexpected pregnancy, are considering an abortion, or have had an abortion in the past.
Since 2012
“The Hope Center exists to promote healing and to be a safe place for you”
From 2012-2019 the Hope Center opperated a maternity home in a northern suburb of Athens. In this home, women found shelter, support, and care in a family environment during an unexpected pregnancy.
Today, the Hope Center continues to operate as a day center helping women and their partners who are facing an unexpected pregnancy as well as those who have had an abortion in the past.
We meet the needs of the women who receive our services through a variety of free and confidential services.
Our compassionate team counsels, educates, and offers medical care and support to pregnant women. We also offer post-abortion counseling.

Our mission is to empower women to embrace their decision with confidence, to take charge of their situations and actions, and to become equipped with life skills, giving them hope for their future.
What We Do
We provide medical support, prenatal and postnatal care and counseling through a variety of free and confidential services. We also meet the emotional needs of those who have had an abortion through one-on-one and small group discussion-oriented counseling.
Our Approach
We provide a non-judgmental, safe environment in order to develop a relationship of trust and support with the women we serve. Considering all of her options together, no matter what the decision, our team is here for her.

Our core values are hope and empowerment. We want every woman to feel cared for, supported, and valued. We believe every woman should be equipped to make informed decisions that lead to a hope-filled future.
Medical Support
We provide free self-administered pregnancy tests; assistance with doctor and hospital visits; support throughout your pregnancy and during birth; and follow-up care after the birth of your baby.
Prenatal Care & Counseling
We provide fact based information about all of your pregnancy options; community referrals; and free practical help with supplies you may need such as maternity clothes, diapers, and bassinets. We also offer parenting classes for both expectant mothers and fathers.
Post Abortion Counseling
We offer confidential counseling; group retreats; one-on-one and small group discussion about the emotional and physical effects after your abortion.
